Meet the Team
At Bewdley dental practice all the staff have been hand picked and you will find a team that is caring and passionate about their work with a good sense of humour all done in a relaxed and friendly environment.
As the premiere dental practice in the area we do unfortunately have a waiting list of about 6/8 weeks for NHS patients. This is due to the high standard we try to achieve on each and every patient wether they are NHS or private, this is shown by the reviews we have received.
Jagprit Hear – B.D.S. (Kings College London) – Principal Dentist
Since qualifying from Kings College in 2001 I have attended many postgraduate courses instilling in me the confidence and knowledge so that patients receive the foremost treatment, whether it be a simple tooth coloured filling or the most demanding full mouth cosmetic rehabilitation.
I was one of the first people in England to attend the new revolutionary Fastbraces course which allows teeth to be straightened in only 3 to 10 months!
My ambition to stay at the cutting edge of dentistry has led me to complete a year long implant course in Manchester which lead on to a sinus/ bone grafting course at the Royal College of Surgeons in London .
I enjoy socialising with family/friends and can’t believe how quick my children grow!
Apart from my children I have two passions in life, Liverpool fc and cars. One leads me to despair and the other one will probably lead me to financial ruin.
Ben Bushell – B.D.S. (U. Leeds) – Principal Dentist
I graduated from Leeds University in 2003, I have worked in general practice since. From Birmingham to Worcester, now I work between Malvern and Bewdley. I enjoy the challenge of nervous patients and working in an informal manner to put patients at ease. I enjoy cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery which has led me to completing the Manchester Dental Implants course and a sinus and bone grafting course at the Royal College of Surgeons in London.
In my younger days I was a keen Rugby player for Kings Norton and Leeds Medics , now an avid supporter exclusively, disregard my comeback propaganda. I also have a passion for the outdoors both at home exploring with the dogs, and travelling to far flung places such as Peru and British Columbia.
Manjit Rai – B.D.S. (U. Birm) – Senior Dentist
I qualified from Birmingham Dental School in 1993. After two years beginning my career in rural north Wales I returned back to the Midlands. I have served as a Vocational Trainer to new graduates. I have been working in Worcestershire for the last six years.

Janine Sahota – B.D.S. (U. Birm) – Dentist
I have been working in the Midlands for the past few years since qualifying from the University of Birmingham though I have still maintained my Essex accent!
I have been at the practice for almost a year now and am thoroughly enjoying it here.
I particularly enjoy cosmetic smile make overs and have been creating a portfolio of my work for the last few months!
I recently completed an orthodontic course which allows teeth straightening within 6 months via either clear aligners or fixed braces.
In my spare time (and during extractions) I love singing and also play the guitar!
I look forward to meeting some of the new patients who join our practice !

Jo Pyke – Dental Hygienist
I qualified from Birmingham dental hospital in 2008 and work at Bewdley on a Tuesday and Friday. I have been at the practice for just over five years. I treat a wide range of patients during my day and find it very rewarding when a previously anxious patient gains confidence to attend with less trepidation. This is often the case, as the practice has a friendly feel which puts patients at ease. In my spare time I enjoy cinema, reading and spending time with my family.
Karen Coley – Dental Hygienist
I graduated with a DipHE Distinction in 2008 from the University Wales College of Medicine (first hygienist to achieve distinction).
I bring a natural approach in treating anxious and nervous patients. I am highly experienced in treating all aspects of periodontal disease.

I started my career in dentistry as a dental nurse in 1989. I trained and worked at the the Birmingham dental hospital and in a practice in Halesowen. I qualified as a hygienist in 2002 at Bristol and have worked in practices in Sussex and the Midlands. I am a caring and gentle hygienist and work well with nervous patients.
